John was born in Spokane, Washington. Graduated from Washington State University and received a Juris Doctor from University of Idaho Law School.

Past president of boards of Walla Walla Area Chamber of Commerce, Walla Walla YMCA, Blue Mountain Community Foundation, Walla Walla Country Club and Exchange Club of Walla Walla.

Specializes in Estate/Trust Planning documents and Administration, Agricultural Law and Real Estate Transactions.

Listed in “Best Lawyers in America” every year since 1993. Elected to American College of Trust and Estate Counsel in 1983.

Lives in and has practiced in Walla Walla since 1958. Married with four adult children and twenty three grandchildren.
